Plant shots

This section contains images of a variety of different garden plants, alongside some information about them, showing the beauty of the little things in nature all around us that we often take for granted.

Buttercups, Daisies and a Dandelion

Showing us that the common things in nature are just as beautiful.

Some colourful leaves, sprouting buds and little puddles

The next few images are an assortment of plant shots. It just goes to show that all the little things in nature, that you might miss, are incredibly intricate and beautiful. Shooting in macro here also helps reveal all the minute details you previously wouldn't be able to see, like the texture of the small leaves and the miniature hairs on the bud.

Pink Geraniums

These pictures were taken in the flower beds of my garden, as these common flowers are found all around us. They give a beautiful pop of colour in spring and summer months, with their gorgeous pale pink leaves and intricate dark pink, vein-like patterns.

Dark pink Geraniums and Salvia

These two darker-coloured flowers are also very common yet contribute to the glorious colours of summer. Through macro photography, you can truly appreciate all their smallest of details, from the texture of the minute flowers on the Salvia down to the individual grains of pollen on the Geraniums.

All images taken with a canon 1100D and macro lens.
